Picture 1: Boars Hill
For this photo shoot I was looking for scenes that I could edit to enhance the sky, using the graduation filter in PS, and create a dramatic sky looking over towards the City skyline of Oxford. I walked up from the car parking area towards the Old Berkeley Golf Course.
Picture 2: Sign post near Youlbury
I went past the turning to Youlbury which is used as a Scout activity centre.
1picture 3: Near Open University building
Nearly at the Golf Course, I walked by the Open University buildings.
Picture 4: Looking over towards the Golf Course
Near the gate at the Golf Course, there was a bitterly cold wind on the Golf course so I didn't stay there too long!
Picture 5: The Old Berkeley Golf Course
Having arrived at the Golf course, I walked towards a gate that led to some woods. As I walked closer to the woods I could barely feel my hands, it was so cold, definitely coat, hat and gloves weather!
Picture 6: Lone Dog Walker
There was one brave dog walker in the near freezing temperatures. It was strange to see so many cars parked up but very few people around at the time.
Picture 7: Abraham Woods
If I had more time I would have explored these woods a bit, but as it was getting later in the afternoon and was very cold I decided to wait until another day.
Picture 8: Looking towards Oxford
As I was heading back to the car, I took this photograph from a raised part of the Golf Course that looks towards Oxford in the far distance.
Picture 9: Jarn Mound at Boars Hill
On the way back I saw this seat in the middle of a very muddy part of Boars Hill near Jarn Mound, which used to look over Oxford and the surrounding areas.
Picture 10: Final Result!
This photograph I thought was the best overall composition and created the result I was looking for.
Camera settings: Nikon D3400 f/13 1/100 sec ISO200 27mm.
Thanks for taking the time to read
Until next time :)
